just sharing some glee... I bought my Frankenporsche parts car off a reference from this site, for two hundred, transplanted the entire suspension and bunch of other misc parts to my 78 924, and recently sold the tranny for $150 and the clutch master and slave, and a few other bits for $60..im UP $10!! and still have at least twice that in good usable parts i dont need i can sell, some of which will hopefully be sold soon, so i can send in my registration packet .:)
mechanically, the old 924 is coming along quite well, I still need to finish up the brake lines, learn how to do an alignment at home(complete 5 lug suspension and brakes upgrade to 4 wheel discs), and decide what im going to do about the exhaust, but shes running very strong now, ive got most of the electrical bugs worked out,and soon ill be able to start tuning for power (dont laugh too hard, i know its no rocket ship.) then ill move on to some body and interior work, and lots of chassis cleaning...
its come along way from being a mold infested mostly abandoned junker, to a good running, mid pack potential contender in the past few months, and ive still got a few tricks up my sleeves.. We should come in at under $1000 when all is said and done, if i can find some cheap rims/tires :)
