We just got back last night (and are my arms tired), but it's always a treat seeing cool cars out and about in the City. I didn't photograph most of them because it was cold and my hands were in my pockets, but here's one that stopped me--such a pretty color, while the 911 shape works so well without any extra doo-dads.
But really I go up there for stuff like this:
This:
And this:
(And very much also family, friends and music.)
I am always on the lookout for cars when I visit NYC. We go there for the jazz clubs, pizza/food and walking/discovering.

Yup. Pretty much the same.
Lived in lower Manhattan for many years. Not easy if you’re a car nut.
Here’s my racecar in front of my old apartment.
The Benz parked on the side of the street is so perfect.
And it's not too late to plan my next trip up there, right?

That's awesome.
Although when I lived in Manhattan my garage had a Cayman GT4 racecar stored there. I always wondered why the owner had it there and not garaged at a track? Must have been a royal pain to take it to a shop.

The local parking deck refused to let me park there because of the dog-leg gearbox. They said it was "too much liability" for their crew. So, I'd street park it when it was out of storage LOL.

I don't live there anymore; just bought a house in Jersey with a 3-car garage ... priorities! But hit me up next time you're in the area. There are some secret "car guy" things to do around here.

Mine was kept in storage at a friend's shop (Guten Parts & Service in Maplewood, NJ). I'd take it out just for race weekends. No truck/trailer meant driving the racecar to events, which kind of sucked sometimes.
As for service, believe it or not, there's a well-respected 190E Cosworth specialist in East Harlem. I'd drop off the car and take the subway home. It was actually quite convenient!
