I'm in Atlanta for another day before heading back to Minnesota, and was wondering if anyone can refer me to any cool GRM-style car attractions.
The things I'm hoping to find is a dealer or shop with clean, older European or even American cars, but not just a regular used car place.
My dream would be to stumble upon a place with an assortment of clean pre1980 Rabbits, early Jettas, W126s, Saab 900s, Sciroccos run by someone who doesn't mind a northerner just coming by to marvel at it all.
Thanks for anything you can recommend. We'll be driving back through Nashville and St. Louis as well.
Just drive on I-285 or I-75 anytime between 3 and 7pm today. You'll be sitting there for HOURS and you'll see more cars than you ever wanted to.

Fraser Dante in Alpharetta (north suburb) has a wide assortment of nicely restored classics. Mostly American muscle, but some classic European models too.
If you are taking 75N through Chattanooga, definitely stop by Old Car City in White, GA. It's on your way. It claims to be the "world's largest known classic car junkyard" and I believe them. For 10 bucks you can spend all day perusing acres and acres of forests and fields full of classic cars that have been rotting away for decades.

If you like corvettes buyavette...has lots
Motorcar Studios has lots of cool stuff
year one muscle car museum in braselton,
summit racing retail store in macon,
andretti speed lab in marietta
The new pcna hq is pretty slick and has it's own track facility, but I'm pretty sure it's booked up more than 6 months out for tours and driving experiences

As a local, I'll second the whole "Lane Museum!" endorsement.

We were at the Lane Museum Monday. Looks like we're heading to the Georgia Aquarium today. Life with a 5-year-old. That's OK. I've heard it's good.
I have made an executive decision, and my domestic associate agrees, when I'm in the market for my next used vehicle, I'm coming back here.

Atlanta Motorsports Park in Dawsonville has an amazing rental kart track, it's a good drive North of Atlanta but well worth it.

+1 Lane is awesome and weird. Even my non-car enthusiast girlfriend liked it.
Exomotive is in Atlanta, perhaps you could talk one of them into giving you a ride in an Exocet?
