Hey everyone. I'm looking to install a "S-Bend" hose into one of my radiator hoses to clear some intercooler piping. I would like to get this done soon, preferably this week, so was looking at options I can find locally. I found some of these couplings at Lowes:

Would something like this along with a worm drive hose clamp on each end be fine, or will I be looking at a coolant leak in that area? I know most cooling system input/output ports have the rolled edge on them, so not sure how the barbed coupling would be with sealing.

I'm not sure about that, but any auto parts store should have a Dorman kit of several different sized plastic coolant couplers designed for this job. They're pretty cheap too.
I've used the metal hardware store pieces and the Dorman plastic stuff both with equal success. In either case it's a good idea to check for overly sharp edges from the molding process. You want enough tooth to grab the hose but not a knife edge that will wear through over time.
The specs say to use in it cold water applications.
Several years ago I had used a plastic coupling from HD on my first Stag in the coolant line. It blew apart , shot coolant in the air and hit me square on top of my head and in the face. Beware.

The one time I modified a coolant hose I used one of these and it worked fine. Obviously that's not the size you're looking for but you should be able to find one in the right size.

I don't remember the plastic couplers I used having rubber cement with them, although since they thought it was worthwhile to include it I'd be really tempted to go ahead & use it. I'd make sure you don't need to take it off again in the near future though.
I just did something similar and used one of These.
You also might be able to find a complete hose that has the right shape browsing this catalog: http://www.napabeltshose.com/~/media/napa/flyers/molded-coolant-hose-id-guide_napa-interchange-final_lr.pdf
FWIW, my local hydraulic hose shop has metal versions of those. Is there a hydraulic shop near you or an industrial area that might house one? I'm not usually a person that likes ADDING plastic to a cooling system.
Looks like thats two votes for the Amazon coupler piece, so that seems like a good option in this case. That maybe what I go with then.
There doesn't look to be any hydraulic hose shops near me, but there is an HVAC supply center. Maybe they could have something there?
I don't see why the steel lowes connector wouldn't work. I used something pretty similar that had a 1/8" NPT port in the center to add a steam port line to my radiator hose.
This is the jimmy I used with two worm drive clamps from the hardware store. Link

Thanks! It seems like a lot of people here used the piece from Amazon, so I ordered one in the size I need. It should be here tomorrow.
