Long story short we will be driving our van with crash damage until it gets repaired in a few weeks.
What can I use to tape the gaps from a bent door so it's weather proof.
Anything available locally?

Body shops have this great clear plastic they use to cover missing windows, open trunks, etc. Will this car be going through a body shop eventually?  If yes, stop in now and they should be willing to cover it for you.

If not going to body shop, do you have any friends who work at one?

The "crash wrap" looks exactly like the carpet protector film I use on the race car if its getting left out (no windows) and there's rain in the forecast. You can pick it up from Home Depot Racing or Lowes.

Update: called the shop that will be doing the repairs and they were able to wrap the side of the van. It's now sealed. It now looks so much worse haha.
I'll have to keep the carpet protector film in mind if this peels
