As seen today in the parking lot of the Scranton PA Harbor Freight.  Im assuming the owner just screwed some coupe 1/4 patch panels over the door?

"My OBS rusted the wheelwells out so I bought 2 door 2.5RS quarter panels..."

Hey, as goofy as it is, I have to admit it is kind of neat.  Subaru didn't make any widebody wagons.

Does this help a rusty car pass PA annual inspection?

yup, couple panels bolted onto a wagon.  You can see the door gap for the rear door at the top of the panel.

If somebody built that properly, id really dig it. As proof of concept, its prettyawesome.

I think I'd cut the widebody panels to continue to have access to the rear doors...

Hmm.  Gold wheels, tint, bad bodywork, comically oversized mud flaps, lowering kit, aftermarket aero doodads of a non-matching color, I think that hit all the Bro Bingo cards there!

Used to see a similar Malibu wagon running around where the rear doors bondo'd shut.  Guy claimed it was a 2 door when in reality it was a 4 door with two non-functioning doors.  Real 2 doors would have coupe doors not sedan/wagon doors on it.
