Guess who’s home?! After months spent in the hospital and sub-acute rehab facility, Dad is back home! He still has a lot of work to do to get back to “normal”, but he will continue his physical and occupational therapy from the comfort of home. Medicare has covered all necessities (handrails, hospital bed, wheelchair) and my parents splurged for some comforts (like this new power recliner) to make life at home safe, comfortable, and prosperous.
Though he is back at home and has made considerable progress he is still fighting a tough battle; the physical wounds may be healing, but leukemia is still an uphill climb. A recent test shows there have been improvements and we hope that their medicine continues to do its work.
In the interest of his safety, the family would like to continue to ask for no visitors at this time. As he adjusts to life at home and continues to strengthen he will begin getting back on the computer and catching up with everyone and everything he has missed. We will continue to relay messages to him until such time.
Thanks again for your continued love, support, prayers, and well-wishes!
Hell yeah!
If y'all need anything, just let us know.
Cool can't wait to see him post again. I've run across old post of his recently and realized how much I've missed his wisdom.
Hell yes, I know he still has a long road ahead, but that's great news! Send him all our best vibes!
Keep kicking ass, Warren!
Being at home is great progress and has to be a great morale boost for him.
Keep at buddy, we are here for you!

That is awesome news, glad you are home. Will continue sending good thoughts and prayers to you and your family as you recuperate.
Bumping in hope of an update.
First off, thanks for all the well wishes. Thank you to everyone who bought a shirt and to Ryan for running with the idea. Currently I'm at home., on medication for the leukemia and getting regular physical therapy to learn to walk again. I get around with a walker and can walk about 8-10 feet without it. Six weeks in bed didn't do me any good. My weight dropped from 195 to 139 in hospital and rehab, so I'm working at gaining weight. All will take time. I'll also add what a privilege it is to be a member of this wonderful GRM community. Thank you all.
Dude!!!!! Your back!!!!! This is by far the best post this year.
It is like we need to be dancing in the streets kind of party kind of moment.
In reply to DeadSkunk (Warren) :
Keep fighting and doing what you need to do.
Welcome back! I was wearing my Dead Skunk shirt yesterday, it must have worked.
The man himself! It’s wicked good to hear from you Warren, keep up the good work.
That put a smile on my face. Keep working at the rehab, Warren. We need to see you at the next Detroit GRM get-together.
So glad to see your words!!!
That's fantastic to hear you're back!
