Tires on the folks Jeep (well, Pa died a year and a half ago, but... he's still in my soul, so...) are 8 years old, cracking, and we're about to road trip from the desert to SD next couple weeks - gonna change them out.
It'll be sold shortly thereafter, so, while I'd put cheapish tires on it and let it fly, mom says don't do that.
Seems cheapos are $100 or less, then the "good" ones are $200+.
On discount, Firestones had a nice rating and $130ish, then there's Khumos, Nexens, Coopers, etc.
Anybody got some they like a lot in that middle price range?
Sailun is a decent Chinese tire.
About 2017 I bought my first set of Falken 201s for my Prius fleet. Since then I have bought at least 5 more full sets. They used to be cheap, like the no-name category, and now they are priced in the middle of the mid-priced category. The 65k rated 201s seem to have morphed into the 75k rated 250s. Not a sport tire. Not a dedicated winter tire. But, for going down the road quietly and confidently (like Prius driving) they have been great. I have also been happy with their even wear and in all the sets, I've never had any trouble with them going out of round, cupping, etc or other odd wear.
Falken makes some nice off-road-ish tires that get good reviews around here if you want something with a more butch-look.
Here is a link to a TRack review of the 250s. They came in second to some Coopers. I've had Coopers (some kind) in the past and I did not like them. I also know a former Cooper employee who is quick to not recommend them.
I have bought Falkens via Walmart and tirebuyer.com
My company vehicle, Ram Promaster City, came to me, new, from the factory with Nexen N'Priz AH8. I didn't dislike them on a daily basis. They were quiet and rode well. However, at 48k these 80k rated tires were "used up." I was diligent about rotating them. All 4 were worn down evenly.

What size are you specifically looking for?
In reply to John Welsh :
Just the stock size, 225/60-17s is what discount/tire rack shows.
Just a regular "passenger car" tire is all that's needed, no need at all for cool off road looking things (which, if I owned it, is what I'd put on it, as and attempt at some kind of "cool" factor... I digress).
I did see Falkens in that group, and having owned several sets of various Falkens, I do like them.
Pretty sure the Yokohamas I just put on the Subaru were about $180 in that size. Geolander G058. So far so good. Tire rack rated them higher than the Michelins I was planning it out on there.

I've had excellent experience with both Milestar and Ironman tires, and both are easily found in your price range (or lower). I actually just ordered another set of Milestars to go on the Volvo last night. I was surprised to find that WalMart.com actually had the best price (even over SimpleTire or PriorityTire) when looking for Volvo tires over the past few days.
In reply to Powar :
I see a whole bunch of Milestars on Discount's site, and did wonder about them.
Thanks for that heads up.
My go-to for mid-range tires are Falken, Sumitomo, and Hankook in that order.
Walmart sells a Douglas brand (made by Goodyear) that my son has used before. They were decent and very reasonably priced.
