I jacked a 4WD thread of the same ilk...sorry, so here's my own...

My set of snows 185/65/14 for my DD looked tired, 2 OK, 2 < then that. I got 2 very good new snow tires free. One each 185/65/14 and 195/60/14. I want to throw them on the front axle. The circumference difference is 1.1%. Is this a problem?

Car in question: '95 Infiniti G20 5 speed no LSD 127K miles

It won't cause any mechanical problems with an open diff, but it will make the handling wonky & unpredictable, and probably wear out your nice new snows unevenly. I think it may even be illegal in some areas. I wouldn't bother...

run it.. it won't be a problem.. 2 tires that are the same size can vary that much in size.

Well since you got them for free.....get off your wallet and the buy one more of each size, to have have a matching pair for the front & for the rear. That way the size difference will be insignificant.

There is only lint in my wallet right now.

I drove about 50 miles on a mix of cold/damp/crusty snow and dry roads and I really can't feel any significant difference in handling.

Tires are new old stock Pirelli Winter 190 directional.

I believe I'm gonna run 'em.
