Here's an informal poll:
Do you use RSS to keep up with websites?
Nope. I have a vague idea of what RSS is, and what it does, but i haven't the faintest idea how to set it up.

same here.
I thought this was going to be about Roll Stability Support for trailers. Work must have gotten to me...
Yep, I use it for blogs, and even use it for saved Craigslist searches. I use Google Reader for it, which isn't perfect but lets me check it at home, work, and on my iPhone while ... indisposed.
I looked into it for notifying readers when my website changes but couldn't find simple enough complete instructions for my small mind.
I'm like most in that I'm not sure what RSS really does, BUT once upon a time I activated the RSS feed and got so much stuff I didn't ask for that I've kept it turned off on everything I own and have never researched it further or tried it again.
An education for all of us might make us realize we are missing out on something good or that it has matured from a few years ago.
Yup, definitely. I don't find the GRM/CM feeds to be terribly effective - a bit more meat in the body would be useful, but I guess you want to push people to the website.
Thanks to the RSS feed on the WRC site, I no longer have to watch rallies. Now I follow them "live".
In the Porsche world, RSS is Road Sport Supply. They make bomb suspension components.
As for RSS Feeds, no, I don't use them.
I've seen it ... but as most of the others ... I don't have any idea what it is or how to use whatever it is

RSS Rich Site Summary (originally RDF Site Summary, often dubbed Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format.[2] An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed",[3] or "channel") includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship.
