Uh oh, my entry in $2018 is likely to be black and gray/silver two tone, unless I get one hell of a deal on plastidip.

I had really hoped with the current crop of pony cars out there, that we would see a return to some of the better colours. Grabber orange, Plum Crazy, and the like. At least they come in red
The digital version of the new issue came through today. I was surprised by the cover but it is a good photo! Especially because the lifted tire defies the laws of what you expect.

The vagueness of this comment is maddening. John gets -10 internet points for the day.

Not me
I didn't get to talk to him enough at the challenge, but I hope the scheme was inspired by the original aristocrat class!! Yes, great photo.

True, but as Robbie points out both design elements (done separately) were a part of the Aristocrat Class in $2015

Actually come to think of it my $2011 civic was a paint stripped car with a black top half and my $2015 had the shark teeth. I need to pull it together because I never get that many points in concourse.... of course I’ve also never engine swapped or drivetrain position swapped a car.
My $2017 challenge car had been at the challenge twice before, all three total times with pretty much the same looks. Now, I only had about a month to work on it before the challenge, so I was focused on the driving portion, or else I would have made more of an effort towards cosmetics.
That said, I am bringing it back for the $2018 challenge, hopefully to be the challenge that shows the car's true power and potential. In addition to hopefully being at the top of it's performance game, after 3 pervious entries, it's time for a change in style. It will have a new color scheme, and some better cosmetics, and hopefully should be pretty stunning all around. That is my plan at least, hopefully I can make it work in the time and budget I have. 9 months and counting....
