uhhhhhhhh......

Lancia Stratos Group 5 Silhouette race car, built and developed by Napier Sport. The car was built by Napier Sport about 11 years ago to compete in the British GT. The car did not race in the end as they changed the rules to only factory cars that very season. This was a real blow for Napier after spending the best part of 100k to build and develop. The car has been used for sprints and track days since. The car is based on the 1976 Group 5 stratos that raced in the World championship against the Martini Porsches and BMW CSL Batmobiles. Only two of these cars were made by lancia and only one remains in a private collection worth at least 500k. Napier decided to improve on the original cars spec in many areas. The wheel base is slightly longer for better handling and this also enabled them to put the engine and box inline. The car is very similar to a group C car in this respect and offers amazing mechanical grip. Chassis: Bespoke spaceframe and monocoque frame incorporating roll cage. This chassis was properly tested and was awarded all nescessary approvals by the industry. ( more info on this chassis at the napier sport website). The chassis is fitted with air jacks and lifting gas tank equipment supplied. Wishbones: All fully independant and fully adjustable with rose joints, Alloy hubs and uprights Brakes: 4 pot AP brakes front and rear with bias pedal box, vented and drilled discs ( very chunky ) Engine: Alfa 3.0 V6 Twin turbo. This has been pro built and set up by emmerald who supplied the fully programable ECU. Producing 351 bhp at 6000rpm with 350fts/lbs of torque at 4500rpm on the rollers at Emmerald, this was featured in practicle performance car magazine on the rollers so I have proof of the power output and a full description from them in the article. Trans: G50 Porsche gearbox with rare LSD and custom F1 engineer drive shafts. The box is inverted just as porsche did in their group 935 Other: Dry sump system AP twin paddle clutch full aeroquip lines x2 huge Pace intercoolers Gearbox oil cooler Engine oil coolers Full set of wet split rim 16" alloys original Compomotives Full set of dry slicks with un used Hoosier tyres at the rear 16" Compomotives x2 custom fuel tanks at the rear and a reserve alloy tank at the front Full down force kit with massive rear wing, front spats and rear defuser The floor is flat made up of alloy sheet. Quick release steering wheel Full plumbed in extinguisher This is the only running replica of this Italian Group 5 Icon in the world. The car was fully tested by Dave Brown who works as an instructor at Brands Hatch, he confirmed how good this car is. This is not a look alike race car, its stronger, faster and safer then the original car. Last october we ran the car at Brands and the car did not miss a beat all day. The car can be mapped to 425 bhp but to stay reliable its set at 351 which is more then enough. There is so much torque that you only need 3rd and 4th around brands and nothing but the radicals seem to touch it. All serious viewings and evening appointmants are welcome. All serious offers considered Part Ex Welcome

Same here, though I certainly would not kick that Stratos out of my garage.

Why does that seem like a pretty good price?

£1=$1.64

So £30k = $49.2k

I guess that still seems reasonable.
