For me on my 95m with the hardtop on it feels significantly more solid it rattles less and the steering wheel doesnt shake when going over bumps.
Had a 97 for a couple years White, 5spd, factory hard top. I think it had every option checked. Loved it. It's like an oversized, street legal go kart. Hated the lack of power. I came out of years of Camaros and Corvettes, so I do like my big engines. Sold it last year to get a Baby Grand Stock Car.
