Please tell me I am not the only one.
Yesterday, it was a Mk1 GTi.
Today, it's an E36 M3, with the Evo wing.
Tomorrow, who knows! May be a El Camino with bias ply tires and aero wheels. May be a Land Cruiser with a lift!

Oh yes... my ever changing wants range from old Japanese cars (old Subarus and Celica LB's) to muscle cars to Italian exotics to 4x4 trucks and pretty much anything in between.
If I ever won a lottery, there definitely wouldn't be an overall "theme" to my collection. Unless that theme is "AADD"
Of course, this wide spread of automotive interests is pretty much the core thread of this forum. I think we're all like that.
This is why I can never finish a project. I get bored and move on to something else. It has taken me a long, long time to realize that while I enjoy the project process, I should just buy nice cars instead. That why I can use them, sell them, and get something else.
Current list, in no particular order:
MINI Cooper S
Acura TSX
Lexus IS300
Lexus IS250
Any generation MR2
80's El Camino
89-91 E30
Yep, I change my mind every single day. You are not alone. I call it the "Daily WANT".
Pretty much since I bought my daily driver Mazda 3 a little over 5 years ago, I've been planning it's successor. Not that I don't like the thing (it's been the best car I've ever had honestly), but I am always wanting something else. I've gone from everything from a 2014+ Mazda 6 to a 2014+ Ram 1500 short box 2wd with the Hemi, and everything in between.
Today, it's 2011+ Dodge Chargers, especially the 2015+ refreshed cars.
I think we all understand you.
I knew I couldn't be the only one that randomly wants strange cars when I see them. The other day I said, "I wouldn't mind getting one of those." I was looking at a faded rusty MR2 in a parking lot. My friend asked, "how much do those jaguars cost?" Referring to the new Jaguar F-Type that I hadn't even noticed parked next to the MR2.

Otherwise known as "The Daily BaT email" where I find or am reminded of cars I didn't know or remember I wanted. So glad I missed the end of the Saab 95 that sold a couple of days ago. It sold for a price ($5500) that very well might have had me bidding on it.
I HAVE to have an E39. And a Series II Disco. And an early 70's F250 2wd with huge towing mirrors (long story).
Some guys want $80,000 cars. Not me, all mine together could be had for under $15,000.
Nope, serial automotive monogamy has proven to be my happy spot. If I came into a bazzilion dollars, it would still be one project car, one toy driver and one toaster. Just more expensive ones!

Ooof... that mk1 makes me feel funny. I can hear a 16V ready to brap coming from it.
I think we all do this. I have a whole list of fairly reasonable "dream cars" that are very attainable, and I rotate through and keep scratching things off the list. I don't need to own them forever, and I don't need a massive fleet, but it's fun to have cars for different purposes and to see what they're about.

Mine is an unreasonable desire to do up a Hyundai accent BTCC style. Have no idea why.
Yesterday i looked at an 01 740iL. Then last night i was trolling CL for a grand prix gtp. Almost called on a jaaaaaaaag. Last week i was thinking 94-96 Fleetwood. Al i want is a winter beater and i still can't make up my mind.
I could not be less certain of my next ride. This is of critical importance as I'm ready to buy and have cash in hand.
Current wants in the mix Jaguar XJR CTS V Gen 1 CTS V Gen 2 GTO Early AMGs
I have this same problem, except it ranges from maybe I could lease a used 2010 Panamera 4S to, ok ok let's be sense-able BMW 550ix, ok fine used Lexus LS460, ok wait how about lease Lexus RC350 F, to that's too much let's spend less and get used E60 or maybe a 2001 750, ahhhh I hate it sometimes....make it stop!

I'm looking at these as well, except without the GTO/CTS V gen 1. But I feel like I want something with active suspension like the mag ride on the CTS-V, where you can have your cake and eat it to. I want cushy ride on all the pot hole ridden streets of NY and no body roll when doing double the speed limit on the on ramp...
I also have daily/weekly wants, that change hourly some times. my girlfriend hates it!
list in no order
TJ jeep
B13 Sentra
VW bus
OBS F350 powerstroke
4Runner
mk3 supra
changing daily
I still really want another 75-79 f150. Lately ive had a weird lust for 80s hatchbacks. Couldnt talk my wife into letting me buy a dirt cheap horizon!
My list used to be huge but it has condensed lately and I have fixated on the same few vehicles for the past few months. Level of want in decreasing order
-Pre-'08 WRX
-350Z
-'70-'72 Duster/Demon
-'05-'08 Mustang GT
-Any Jeep Grand Wagoneer (And have you seen the price on these lately?!)

I agree but there is a nice price delta of $10K LESS that is attractive as it likely means the GTO and Gen 1 are at the bottom of the depreciation curve.

I want to do that to a Cruze.
