Did BMW offer such a thing in 633 CSI?

No, but Callaway offered a kit that is relatively common; the only factory turbo BMW of the 1970's was the Euro 2002 turbo, and in the 1980's the Euro-spec 745i.

Mark had a Callaway one, which would have been sold new as a turbo, but AFAIK, BMW themselves never built them.

Mark could answer your questions better, but he hasn't been on here lately that I've seen.

Edit: +1 Dizzy, beat me to it.

The 745i Euro was turbo while the 745i SA was not, actually.

Wikipedia said: A 745i without turbocharger was built specifically for the South African market. The right-hand-drive version was not possible with the turbocharged motor due to the proximity of turbocharger in the right-hand side of engine bay.

Callaway was the guy for this stuff; I had one of his sciroccos a couple years ago.
