I've got a junked 95 explorer that I can pull whatever I want off of. I've also got a 91 ranger that the driver seat decided to break on. So I'm taking out the front seats and console from the explorer and putting in the ranger.

The webz has told me that it's a direct bolt in but I'm not seeing it. The tracks are different as is ....well everything

Now I know I can get them in regardless lol, but is there an easy way?

I'm guessing where the explorer is a later generation RBV (ranger based vehicle) is where the discrepancy lies. Had you gotten seats from an earlier, square body explorer, you would probably have no issues at all.

I'm sure you are right since they are different generations.

have you tried the ranger rails on the explorer base?

worse case just make an adapter plate with 3/16" steel to go from the ranger rails in their OE sport to the mounting points on the explorer seats. just make sure you have them centered. i've done this is focus ZX4 seats in a 323

The rails look totally different and measure about half an inch different. I'm gonna pull the actual seat off and see how I can get it attached to the ranger tracks

If 88 mustang GT seats can fit into a 96 ranger with nothing but a track swap....

The seat base will have a few different holes to fit whatever track needs to bolt up....

You'll need to log in to post.
