I've been using a pair of mechanic's style gloves for AutoX/HDPE for about a year. They are starting to fall apart so I thought I buy something more suited to the task. I'm looking to spend $30-$50. I looked though some old threads here and found Racequip 350 and 351 gloves that look decent. I've got big meaty size XL hands. I'm looking for something comfortable and easy to get on and off. Anyone have a favorite?

I want another pair of string back driving loves. You know the shorty ones where the finger tips are open?
Yes they are a bit pretentious but they remind me of earlier days with the cloth caps. And a phonetic British accent while we laughed all the way into Sebikins at Elkart Lake.

I have a pair of open gloves that are snap back. Wear them in early spring/late fall with the top down.
I am using some amazon nomex flight gloves.
I just use the closeouts from racerparts wholesale or Speedway.
I have a pair of single layer gloves from Speedway Motors and they are pretty good. Not top of the line but serve the purpose.

FWIW: I found these Alpinestar's on sale at Speedway motors. They are more than half off.

That's about what I paid for the Speedway gloves. I would jump on that.
Do you need gloves? I've tried a bunch and absolutely hate gloves.
I ski without gloves so I might be a bit biased against gloves.
That being said, I like my alpinestars as linked above the best of any glove I have tried (about 10 different brands, types for car racing).
Yes, I think I do. My hands get really sweaty when I'm driving hard.
