Dear Moderators:
Is there a way to flag a post so it NEVER shows up??
Because of this particular thread, I'm now keeping an eye out for cheap or free Festiva shells......

Please do, unless you run with the Pride theme.

so what, just plug the T5 directly into a diff?
Heres my old 240sx, after the engine blew and it became too rusty to bother with again:

I WANT SO BAD
My BG Protege begs for this.

Fact! The Aerostar is RWD, but the manual tranny it uses is only good for about 180 ft lbs. The way to go is: use the 3.0 Aerostar bell, make an adapter for the front of a Mustang T-5, and put it together. The adapter is a plate about 1/2 inch thick...pretty straightforward. The change is detailed on the british v8 sportscar website. Can't think of the name right off; sorry.
Update time!
Here's a pic of my newest late night drunken shopping. $400 off of eBay and a 600 mile round trip to Indy to pick up yesterday.
A complete '91 Capri XR2 with a B6T motor, G25 5-speed, the intermediate shaft that is made of unobtainium, and a decent set of American Racing wheels.
It doesn't run but it is complete. It wants to start with ether but I'm not going to spend a whole lot of time diagnosing it while it's in this car. There will much shedding of emissions controls and what not when Megasquirt gets added.
It should also get me close to $0 when it's all parted out (hopefully).
I do hope there is some B6T experts here. I have a feeling I'm going to need it when it comes to the wiring and vacuum lines.
Dammit dude, should have sent me a message! There's an XR2 Turbo in the junkyard here if you need anything else.
Of course, maybe it's good you didn't, because i would have converted you over to F2T power.

Next time you're there grab the 2 piece passenger side axle. The small piece (intermediate shaft) is NLA and that is the piece that the Festiva guys needs when swapping the trans to a larger G25m unit. You can easily double or triple your money on it.
You'll need to log in to post.
