The Yugo has a broken water temp gauge and I don't like oil pressure idiot lights, so I figured I would throw a cheap gauge set in it. The problem is AFAIK your typical cheap gauge set uses 1/8 NPT for the oil hookup. From my googling it would appear that the Yugo uses M14x1.0 on the oil light sender and M16x1.5 on the water temp. I'm having trouble finding the adapters for this, the oil pressure in particular, I cant find anything with M14x1.0 threads, even McMaster-Carr has nothing. Looks like the water temp adapter is about $10.
the $30 Equus 3 gauge set that i put in my Camaro came with a whole bunch of different fittings for the oil pressure and water temp gauges, and you can get any special fitting that you might need from any decent auto parts store that has a weatherhead cabinet and someone that knows how to find things in it.
vdo gages are not all that expensive...
