Would the gears (front or rear) from a 2013 F150 Ecoboost fit in a 1986 8.8 from a Mustang ? My rearend currently has 2.73 gears and the truck ones might be a good buy for a Challenge build, if they'll work. I don't know the Ecoboost's ratio yet either.
Seller got back to me and they're only 3.31 gears, which is a shame because he's selling front and rear gear sets for $25. $12.50 for a set would have really been a help in a Challenge budget. Oh well, the search continues.
Way better than 2.73. I'd pick up a set just in case you can't find anything else or are up against the budget, providing you can see if they work

True. With the 2.73 gears I'd be going through the traps at 4500 or some such. The 3.31s would add almost 1000 RPM and they would be cheap insurance.

Yes. The seller sent me pictures of both pinions and they're mirror images.
