I must be dumb. When power block tv talked about crate Eco boost engines I could not find them in the ford catalog.

Actually, I don't know. But I do know that even if it did, it does not seem like a good idea. I don't think it's the most stout manual box.

Get one out of the focus,

Or better yet, remember the Focus RS8? Do a Fiesta RS4Tdi RWD conversion using a wrecked NC Miata with 6 speed box and the rear independent suspension.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

When we got the Fiesta in the US my first thought was a new school one of these.

The part where someone builds a rusty mustang or something for $50 and goes faster?

I dunno, I was just challenging myself to see things from the "not grassroots enough" perspective.

Scottah wrote: My thoughts are to put one in a Focus SVT. I really haven't researched this much, but I know the duratec MTX-75 transmission bolts up. The motor mounts would transfer from a duratec and wiring might also be simplified with a duratec harness. I guess I can dream.
Or just get a Focus ST. That's not likely to break.

Where is the fun in that? Even with an MTX-75 built up for EB power, the total price for a DIY swapper should come in way below the Focus ST...In addition to now having an honest-to-God mechanical limited slip differential. Instead, I suppose you could also spend twice as much as a built MTX-75 on a factory-strong Focus ST transmission from FRPP/FPRP...Just to be saddled with an open differential.
