It all depends on the camera angle and lighting:

This is funny, while debating colors to eventually repaint my zephyr beige/tan was near the top of my list. Still might be.

Add a little or a lot of green (or black) to make is a little more interesting. Not a complete respray, just part of the car...

Lol, even a Camry racecar has to be beige.

Slam it, tint it, different colored wheels, add some sort of graphics. I think some kind of stripes out of patterned vinyl might look cool, but can't find a good example (probably because it looks better in my head than IRL.) Or just embrace the beige.

Alfa's Alfa is just cheating, that car would still look good if you painted the whole thing with chunky poo.

I guess i left one thing out of my previous post. If i were to recolor my 911 in real life, it would probably be to an even less-loved shade of brown.

The 911 looks fantastic in what I call copper brown with black trim. I raced against one back in the late 80s. Fantastic looking car.  And getting off topic a bit but it had that uncorked flat six exhaust sound. Like shredding metal that only a 911 of that vintage makes.  Made the hair stand up on the back of your neck. It was that good!!!!!!

If you mean for like resale value then keeping any matching black or chrome trim in top shape works wonders.  If you look at first post with the dreary used caravan in it, many of those were sold that way and you can see them all over the place, imagine same stupid caravan with properly claybared and waxed paint and very importantly nicely shining silver rims (+trim/grill etc.)  alfa mentioned some Yellow foglights and when done respectfully accents like that can help, if its period correct.

It can work, but when the bits and bobs age it just literally ages the whole look aesthetically, straight into the retirement home parking lot

I like the Crownvic and the Grandam posted before as sort of "mean" or racier takes on the idea most of us could actually do, most of the racecar photos had more of a gold then a beige though, not same color and wouldn't work quiet as well with more dreary shades of beige we find on the used car market albiet i'm sure many of those paint patterns/striping could make a mean looking ChumpCar/Lemons if the wheels you bought came in beige.  If i had a beige sportscar though i'd keep it as quiet as possible as owning a car in such a color has a tendency to let you get away with a bit more spirited driving without your neighbors taking notice of you.

Love beige on the right car.

Okay, the solution is to wrap 90% of the car OR make it an Aston Martin...#LEASTHELPFULTHREADINGRMHISTORY  laugh
