So I picked up a dry break probe, but I'm not sure it's working right. I don't yet have the female half to try them together, but here goes.
If you go to http://volvospeed.com/Mods/dry_break.html, you can see that the outer red part pulls back, but then an inner aluminum sleeve also pulls back to expose the flow path. I can't get that inner aluminum sleeve to move.
Anyone know why?
Yeah, that inner sleeve will push back when connected with the other half. It doesn't move with the outer lock collar. when you get the female half, connect them together and you should be able to flow something (liquid/air) through it. At least that's how the ones we use on aircraft work.
