Oh! Well then, I stand corrected, LOL! I'm with Carson, if it works then lets not hate. I'm all about seeing some wacky stuff on the track, especially if it works

Door shocks go bad so they become Guillotine doors, clutch petal kicked like a pissed donkey, brakes felt like wood, parking it would make you physically sweat, the rear window is the size of my thumb nail, battery is always dead. And this isnt just 1 Countach i encountered, its ALL Countachs i have encountered...
Well, much like my friend's work on his 328 and 308 and 400 Ferrari's, if you leave them completely stock and refuse to actually fix the problems you'll continue to have those problems.
A clutch pedal is just a lever, look at changing the ratio or the master cylinder or slave cylinder sizes.
Most of the electrical issues on the Italian cars are due to piss poor grounds and because people don't drive them.
To park them, there is a particular method needed to park them that requires you to sit on the door sill and drive from there.
Replace the shocks, springs, wheels and tires and you'll resolve some of the handling issues. Remember the Countach was designed in the early seventies and was slowly upgraded over its lifetime.
If you squint your eye at the above Civic maybe you can see a little...
The Civic is just missing the roof scoop

agreed. it's funny that when something's functional, the "real car guys" get all hung up on the looks.

+1
I never said it was a bad idea for a track car. I'm just saying some dumbasses will attach vision-blocking front wings to their rusty, ricey Honduhs and turn them into rolling traffic hazards, which will prompt overreaching legislation that further puts the clamp down on car customization and...
Or maybe I'm just overreaching. It's been a rough month...

No kidding!
But wow! Have you seen that car? It's hideous.
I am not the least bit surprised...More traction to the driven wheels leads to faster lap times?
good on ya Chris Rado!
I am not suprised either As the A mod guys a mod car Traction good Crazy wing not so good looking on a street type car Even the Lambo looks strange, but in 1978 it was more than hot

LOL! How could I forget? Hey, I was there for some of that..

I don't think the driven wheels matter here. By the time you're going fast enough for the wing to have any effect, that car should have enough traction to put power down effectively - even if the wing starts working at 30 mph. I imagine its benefit is primarily in cornering and braking, but I can certainly see it working there.
A wing at the front isn't really new. Heck, F1 cars have had them for decades. This picture is 40 years old.
What impresses about the Tc is the implementation. A wing that tall that you can sit on? Nicely done!
Jack Brabham: "You idiots put the wings on upside down!"
Here's a great series of photos of the 1969 Spanish Grand Prix here, including shots of Ickx's rear wing failing. Later, there are some shots of the 1971 race. The difference in the cars is amazing for two years of development, although it looks as if they're using a dirt paddock!

up high for visibility and also to catch less turbulent air in traffic (although traffic is rare in a time trials event).
Ugly? - yes, without a doubt, fugly as a dog licking his own butthole
do we really need to hate on it? - no, it s evolution of racing,
if I see an 89 accord with rusted out fenders and mismatched wheels sporting one, will I crush it with a Louisville Slugger? - For Sure!!!And I wont hesitate to chase its driver down with said slugger and scare him until he pees in his pants either

You know that the Lambo wing wasn't a "wing", but a bumper to meet US bumper hight laws.
Stuc wrote: Ugh.... some people have no shame. Please, Willow Springs, revoke that record as this is not a car.
Umm... it worked. It's a race car not a show car. Function over form.
I'm all for it. This stuff is what keeps every racing series from turning into spec racing.

maybe so, but there is a better way...
