I might be mis-remembering, but I want to say that there's a similarly swapped Wagoneer out there, but with a Lamborghini V12, and that it was built by Chrysler or by a Chrysler employee during the time that Lamborghini was owned by them.
-I think a 20B would suit an XJS pretty well.
-Any exotic V12 into the FD chassis.
-F2T into FD chassis just to upset people (would need a dry sump and custom intake manifold).
-Some kind of stright-6 with Weber DCOEs in a '61-'62 Valiant or Lancer

Your inference doesn't make any sense. Marchionne wouldn't have anything to do with Lamborghini. VW owns lambo. Fiat owns Ferrari.
But, yes...SRT-12 does sound like a winner.

They really wanted an AWD Daytona as they built the Daytona 444(4-cyl, 4-valves, 4wd) as well.

You could do that now with a 2.4 from a Stratus/Sebring then either spring for a manual SRT Cailber AWD, I think altho I am probably wrong, or stay autotragic and use an old Caravan or Pacifica AWD setup.....

The Caravan setup sucks monkey butt, so, no. The Caliber setup I think was only available with autotragic.
Might as well use an EVO or DSM solution.

I'm not sure how successful it's been. I know a lot of the old (440) cars have been relegated to autocross (where they are pretty successful).
F500 is cool, no doubt about that. But they are not cheap, a new motor is around $3500.00 and up, on the page you linked it seems some of them hit the $5k range. Add a chassis and bodywork, you are now looking at probably $10-$12k minimum. The 2 stroke motors are also extremely loud (or at least the ones I have heard have been), noise has been a problem with motorsports for years and these don't help.
I realize the class 'specs' I sort of pulled out of my butt wouldn't be as fast as F500, but that's not the point. It would be specifically designed to help people get into road racing without a large investment in $ and (at least as important) space for all their equipment. Like a shifter kart, you could conceiveably run the whole thing out of a 2 bedroom apartment and a cargo van.
grand national engine in c4 vette has been done before. there is a guy on the vette forum building a turbo ecotec c4 autocrosser now.

I've also really had a bit of a wet dream about a boosted 4.3L GMC V6 or 3.8L Grand National V6 or a new Ecoboost in a BiTurbo using a Porsche 944 or 968 transaxle.

Stuff a NEW hemi in it. Make sure you punch holes all in it for the ECU, and swap the suspension and stuff too. Sell at a swap meet.

I would like to put one of those older NASCAR V-6's in an SVO.
Or, and Indy Buick V-6 (like Scott Breyton) in a Cobra replica.
On board with the Powerstroke Lincoln (prefer a coupe...or maybe a thrashed '56 Lincoln Mk II).
Also on board with a cut-down fire truck sporting a behemoth V-16.
Right now, my mind has been on a 50's Maser/Testarossa/SLR replica trip in aluminum with a turbocharged 3.7L , 4cyl Mercruiser engine. Painted Maroon, with Borrani's.
Funny side note, I was posting to an editor of a car mag today about the Dodge Decepzione...that was a cool car.
