...Thought of the day:
Does it matter that it's spelled flare and not flair?
Knowing this place like I do, I'm probably missing something.

FLAIR...as in STYLISH...with PANACHE. Madhatr is correct in his word choice.
Damn grammar/vocabulary nazis.
In reply to Ovid_and_Flem:
Not a Nazi at all. That's why I suggested it may be spelled correctly and that I may be missing the joke.
(As an aside, spelling does matter.)
In reply to Ovid_and_Flem:
No, I knew that. I was rethinking my response because I knew it would come off as defensive.

That, sir, is high praise.

Not at all, man. Wear all this ribbing like a badge of honor.
Madhatr wrote: I hope I at least made you guys smile!
Sure did! And yes, I thought it was reminiscent of Trosley, too!
In reply to RealMiniParker:
The ribbing doesn't bother me at all. I am absolutely amused by the direction this forum can go from something as simple as that... I had a good laugh from all of it
Spelling and grammar have always been my achilles heel, to the point most spell check software goes "I don't have a berkeleying clue what you want". My mind tends to work in pictures, and rules about how the physical worlds around us. The language rules always seemed arbitrary to me... and no one could explain the 'why' of it all.
I once tried to convince my english teacher that:
"Correct spelling is just a road block to the natural evolution of our language"
That went over about as well as expected, but that was before leet speak, and Txt. Who knew 13 yr. old me would be right?
Anyway. Thanks everyone for the compliments... I have (moar!) ideas in my head, just need to find the time to put them on paper.
