The new Silvia?
It reminds me of the roof line of a GTR, the ugly buttface of a 2003 Infiniti M45m and they stole the wheels from a genesis. Theyre trying to make the sportiest consumer car in their recent history (domestically cough GTR excluded cough) into a ridorkulous luxo barge crap tanker. Such a shame. Apparently, like Detroit, Japan cant get out of their own way either.

Honestly, I wish more 2+2s would have those opening panels. Makes it a lot easier to justify a sports car to a significant other when you can actually get a child seat in and out of the back (and for the record, while she doesn't mind rotaries, she's heard too many horror stories about RX-8s to ever consider one).
Looks like they grafted the murano front end onto a coupe-ified m45.
Kinda doesn't follow any one theme. Hopefully this is just a ahoddy Photoshop, not a shoddy Nissan design
Those images are of the Nissan Foria concept from 2005, back when they were trying to instill "elegance" in small cars (Cadillac Cimarron anyone).
As a Nissan fan, I'm desperately hoping they realize this won't cut it against cars like the Genesis Coupe and the Toyobaru FT-86.
I've seen concept drawings that look like a shortened and freshened Altima coupe. Fingers crossed.

she's missing out.
but you're right...the half doors are really, really useful.
Looks like an old time Silvia, which looks like a Lancia Fulvia. I actually like the look of this car, which was first shown a few years ago.
I don't get the feeling this car is going to see the light of day, that is an old concept.
However I would be in favor of building the S15 Silvia again, for US consumption.
Lower the beltline and it would make a bit more sense.
Very bland, though. Murano front end looks awful on a car.

Was the Silvia supposed to be a sports car? Or was it something that just happened when they jammed the SR20DET in it? I know very little about that car.
Oh, I agree with OP. Kill it with fire. Kill it quickly. They can't even salvage the concept and make it look good! The whole thing should be scrapped.

Everywhere else in the world, it had the SR20 stock. Only in the US did it get the truck engine.
Seems to be a common thing for Japanese sports cars. When they're brought over, they lose a cam (and turbo if they had it) and gain some displacement. Heck, the only place in the world that was sold an N/A FC RX-7 was here in the US.
I know it doesn't look like it, but the first thing I thought of was this atrocity.
I can't believe that people actually bought these
Dear Nissan,
Build this:
1: (New) Miata sized coupe with convertible option (<2500lbs)
2: 5 or 6 speed manual
3: Independent front and rear suspension
4: 2.5L four out of the SE-R (front engine, rear wheel drive)
5: Make it look like a baby 350z/370z. (2 Seats)
Call it the 250z/Silvia (oh, and keep it under $25k.)
Thanks,
The whole world
