I just saw this commercial last night. The squinty headlights are actually growing on me. The next question though is how does Kia is all wheel drive system work?

doesnt meet the 1:1 rule. but it is the closest in that class.
There is no 1:1 rule for SCCA Rallycross. It is up to the event safety steward to deem if a vehicle is unfit to run.

This. What's allowed depends a lot on your local region and their typical courses. My local region won't allow anything even remotely tall to run due to rollover concern, but the next closest region has historically had far fewer rollover issues and courses where a rollover would have to be the product of a really big screw up, so they're fine with things like my Jeep. And there was that time they let someone run a dually pickup (obviously not competitive, but no issues).
i could have sworn at one point the rallycross rules said it had to meet the standard solo rules about height to track width rules.

height is 63", track width is 62.4" rear 62" front

Off-topic, but I've always wanted to autocross my GMT-400 duallie for some reason.

At this point if you don’t post a video of you doing just that at the next available opportunity you’re letting us all down.

From here I see height 61.0, track the same as you posted.

Fixed.
Honestly, why on earth would you want to see a video of that? That's got to be a miserable drive, miserable for course-workers and anyone else who wants to use the course that day, and miserable to watch.

i was talking about the soul
I've watched the commercial, looked at the web site -- but I'm not seeing any mention of an AWD Soul. Do you have a link to details?
In reply to nderwater :
Sounds like you’re having the same problem. I only saw it in commercials between binge episodes of the Simpson’s last night
Could it be this concept car?

In reply to EvanB :
No. Squinty-er. Think new Jeep Cherokee.
Found it:
looks like this is the EV Soul(less). The commercial showed this thing taking on gnarly terrain and snow though...
As far as I know there is no AWD option on the 2020. I have a 2018 Soul Turbo and that is FWD only. Pretty sure the drive trains have mostly continued over. As a side note, I really enjoy my Soul. It' s different, a little quirky, relatively fun to drive and I get mid 30s mpg around town. Souls tend to catch some flack, much like the Honda Ridgeline because they don't really fit in a typical/standard category. I always loved the Xb/Cube/Element and Soul group. The Soul is all that's left. Kia has done a good job on the Soul and each generation gets better and more refined.

Can it be autocrossed in a stock class? Or does the 1:1 rule apply? I dont see it on the SCCA list for 2019.

I don't know, I have never checked into it. I have a Miata I use for autocrossing. I'll see what I can find out though as it does pose an interesting question.

if it is already classes in Apendix A in the Rule book its fine iirc. If it isnt in Apendix A it has to meet 1:1
The Kia Soul does not offer AWD, yet. To expand the appeal of the little box (we had one, loved it) they came up with three flavors. In addition to the regular, they also have a GT line that is racier, and an X-Line that is tougher. The X-Line is supposed to have the look of a cute-ute because it has black plastic wheel arches. (see: Buick Wagon) However, they also offer an electric version of the Soul, and they offer Hybrid drivelines in other vehicles, so adding an electric motor to drive the rear wheels and offer AWD isn't too much of a stretch. The Soul outsells all other little CUVs so the lack of AWD hasn't hurt it, but hybrid drive and AWD for certain climates would broaden the appeal even more.
