How do you full-face helmet users keep the interior of your helmet fresh? Febreeze or something more exotic?

Mild non-scented laundry detergent and water, full submersion.

Covering your face and head with Saran Wrap before wearing the helmet will stop the problem from beginning.

Don't forget the breath holes.

Use "Helmet Fresh" before you put it away next time. most bike shops sell it for ~$5.50 it last a few years.

Now that it smelly you need to wash it with shampo and place it near a warm fan to dry.

Mine has a removable liner that I can throw in the washing machine.

Ahh, if only!

My next helmet will have a removable liner.

A head sock helps with keeping it from getting that way. They are cheap.

I've used regular hair shampoo with good results. They do take a while to dry out, you probably want to prop it up in front of a fan overnight.

Pee in it. The smell of urine will cover your skanky head stank.

Also, wash your hair every once in awhile HIPPIE!

Wear a balaclava. There are cotton ones avalable if you don't want to get a nomex one, but either way it absorbs your sweat and not the helmets liner. I have two so i can let them dry between sessions on track.

I will never again buy a helmet without a removable liner. Also it seems that any helmet worth a damn should have a removable/replaceable liner but its just not the case. Manufacturers should be spending more time making better products and less time fabricating SFI tags! [/rant]

Laying the helmet over the motel A/C vents while you do other things ie eat and drink dinner always worked for me. Keep the helmet in the shade and the last thing "installed" and "removed" will help the process.
A head sock helps too. I always kept my head sock in the cooler and took it to the grid in a cup full of ice water.

Head sock is the best solution if you plan ahead. I like the two "sock" idea to allow them to dry out. If the helmet is already full of "stank", I just saw something on Lifehacker for stinky shoes that might work.

They suggest taking the shoes, putting them in a plastic bag, and putting the whole thing in the freezer overnight to kill the bacteria. Might work for a helmet too.

I threw up in my helmet....twice. Good soap and water rinse and it's good to go. There's also Molecule, which is a cleaner/stain remover. And a head sock. I have the cheap Sparco one from OGracing.com. It's lightweight and does the trick, SFI rated. If you hang it up off your canopy, then you dont need 2. I ussually just set it in my helmet, with my facemask open, and helmet on its shell (neck hole facing upwards) this allows air to flow through it and dry everything out.
