People keep joking about Fiat reliability but in 150,000 miles it needed nothing but scheduled maintenance, brakes, and a couple wheel bearings. Compared to the money I see relatives pour into other cars she ran like a Swiss watch.
Wow! That's truly remarkable. There are clearly some supernatural forces at work here. Some kind of chemistry. Given that history, it might be "wrong" to get anything but another Fiat?
How about a Buick Encore? You should be able to get a good deal on one. My vote is CX-5. I had an older one and great car. It held up well when it was totaled in my accident. I've seen nothing but bad things about EcoSports. I work at a dealership and someone traded in with 250 miles on it and it was sold and returned a time or two before it finally went..
Another CX-5 vote. We've had our '18 Touring for a year now, and it's been fantastic. Gets great gas mileage for what it is, drives amazing, and it looks great. We've done nothing but regular scheduled maintenance, and that's it. I'd rather a pre-owned one of those than any of the three on that list new.
My son has a CX-5, loves it; Mrs. 914 thinks she wants one to replace the Jetta.
I had a Jeep Patriot as a company car, no frikkin' way! I stopped this morning and checked out a Nissan Roque Sport. Sport is a foot shorter and not as tall as a regular Rogue. I see them at a Stealership as lease turn ins with 10-15,000 miles for ~$18k.

If it were up to me I would have gone with an Encore. I’ve been happy with my Buick and the local dealer has a bunch to choose from. She ruled it out because she’s not old enough to be a Buick owner.
She also said know to the Koreans because it their looks and being very common (Sorry Bob), same for Toyota and Nissan. The Mazda didn’t nothing for her, but she did ask about a Civic Type R we saw on the road this morning because it was “An angry little car” but she needs an automatic which killed that. At the end of the day she picked a winner.
She is now the happy owner of a 2019 Renegade. We found a dealer that had the Renegade and 500X in stock. After test driving them both she felt the Jeep had more personality and spoke to her. It’s a dark gray which was a bit of a surprise but she likes it and it was in stock. Her other choice was blue which seems to be tough to come by and they made a good deal on this one.
Congrats! I’m interested in how your wife likes the Renegade in the long-term. My wife is also interested in one as a replacement for her Chevy Equinox.
Does the Renegade have dual front climate control? SWMBO wouldn't mind it on my next ride and I've pondered the Renegade since you can get a manual in it plus awd..

I thought it had dual zone climate control but I can’t swear to it. It does have a heated steering wheel which I didn’t know existed until yesterday. I also learned someone makes a $900 rear bumper/spare tire carrier and for some reason a straight rear axle conversion kit.
