Hi everyone
I'm looking for manual trans info for Honda V6 3.5L engines. I'm in the UK and we don't seem to have a lot of the larger engined cars here, so I thought there may be more experience of here.
The J35A8 looks like a cheap compact way to get 300bhp but most come with an autobox, which spoils the fun. I'd be fitting it into a sub 2000lb car so it doesn't need crazy short gearing, I'd be looking for less than 3k revs @70mph in top.

What kind of application are you putting it in? A fwd or rwd car?

mid engine rear, still planning, so it's audi v6 inline or honda transverse. engines seem to cost about the same, but 300bhp from the audi is expensive, whereas honda is that stock. I like stock as I'm cheap.
It's a full frame build, so no restrictions really. Shell is tiny so longest longitudinal engine i could fit is the audi, no LS room this time.

If it's V6 Honda transverse, the manual transmission came on the following cars off the top of my head in the US with a six speed with FWD.
- 03 Acura CL Type S
- 2nd Gen Acura TL and TL Type S
- 02-07 Accord V6 Coupe and some sedans
- 08 until 17 Accord V6 Coupes
I think the Acuras came with an LSD and the Accords were open diff, but can't seem to find one page that lists all their ratios, but did find this for the 2016 Coupe. When I see used prices for them locally on FB marketplace, they typically go for 700 USD and up.

Thanks, that's great info, an LSD would be a huge help too, and if it comes with the trans, it saves another 1500 or so of Quaife, so makes it all more viable.
