Looks like a 70's Civic.
I like it. One of the comments I saw leveled against Tesla was that the youngsters do not see a need for an electric car to look like a regular car, but we all know that the truly outlandish designs died horrible deaths, hence why teslas look like regular cars.
This Honda might bridge that criticism with it's very short hood
They could switch the emblems out for a VW and it could be sold as a Rabbit or Golf.
If it had a Bowtie in the grille, it could be a new Chevette too.
I like the suicide doors. Overall I guess it's a decent body style, but my first thought was "it even looks like penalty box".
If that giant screen on the dash could be a HUD instead, that would be nice.
But "smaller than a fit" and "It comes with a system called the Honda Automated Network Assistant, which Honda claims can detect the drivers' emotions, compare them to past events and make suggestions to help them with their decisions." are both issues for me.
I dig the exterior. It looks fun. And fun is what little cars need.
Not a big fan of interfaces that make me look at them for an extended period to do things like change the audio or the HVAC, but that's just normal show car nonsense.
Looks like there's a full front bench seat which is fun.
I like it but I like 1st gen Civics and Honda City Cars.
Someone needs to sit down the group of designers who seem to believe touchscreens are the way to go and have stern conversation with them about how the field of human factors works. Either that or someone needs to radically rethink how the interfaces work.
Ick the bench seat needs to go. I know it makes for clean lines in the concept, but that would be dreadful to sit in.

The car I drove in high school had a bench seat. I don't see a problem here. I enjoyed it.
Funny that Honda made an iconic car like the first Civic CVCC and when they do a retro design to mimic it, all anyone sees is VW.
All I see is '76 Civic.
Still has a steering wheel, I like it. Give me a cheap quick simple electric runabout and I'd be happy.
In reply to Chris_V:
I saw the Civic as well.
As the car doesn't appear to have a back seat, a bench seat is perfect. It allows the car to haul 3 people in the least amount of space. When you think about it, it's a genius idea for a car meant primarily for short-trips in a city. Once they figure out that whole "how to safely charge an EV in a city" issue...
I like it. And I understand the retro CVCC styling. Unfortunately, the body design screams VW to me.
I don't see retro-VW in the body, so much as in the stanced-VW looking rims. My mind still went straight to retro-Honda on the body.

When I'm driving, in my car, it makes my baby seem so far.
A bench seat is another way of saying "I have no interest in going around turns quickly". That car is sporty looking and has low-profile tires on it. A bench seat delegitimizes it from a performance perspective. I love bench seats - in an old truck with my wife or my dog pressed up against me. That's about it.
If the touchscreen tv stuff goes away and the range is right, id seriously consider a car payment and my first ever new car.
Assuming that it actually looks like this, and is comfortable of course.
Actually, since you mention fender flares...
I was in the "oh, it looks like a Honda" camp until I looked at the flares. They're pure Golf. I've spent a lot of time looking closely at Mk1 Golf flares as I fitted them to the MG, and that's them. Great looking flares, but definitely a VW styling cue. Add in the round headlights and the way the nose curves away underneath, and it's understandable why people see a Golf.
The window treatment is still CVCC.
