Did this the other day to my E30 and I'm wondering how bad the damage is. I can't get to a body shop until the beginning of the week and it's killing me to know whether this is fixable back to factory or not. I know the fender can just be replaced, but I'd like to keep the fender original if possible.

Any insight is appreciated.

I would just push that back by hand and call it good unless there is paint damage.

Don't think it can be pushed back in by hand - the fender is bent. Last pic is the other side for reference.

Can you post a picture or two from further away? It's hard to tell what's going on from the close up photos.

Sure, here's another one.

In that pic you can see the paint cracking on the fender as well as where it is bowed out under the headlight. I think I got the edge of the garage backing in.

That damage isn't going to interfere with the driving enjoyment of the car. Just make sure your headlight is still pointed where it is supposed to be.

If the unsightly nature of the damage bothers you, get a few quotes from local body shops and advise them that you're paying out of pocket. They might give you a break. As others have stated in different threads, doing your own prep may lower the cost even more.

You're not sure what you hit??

It's a pretty light hit and looks like the fender should be salvageable, but maybe less Pokemon go on the road. ;)
