I came to be in possession of a 924S that I would like to be without. I purchased it as an 'abandoned' vehicle from a shop a few years ago to use as a track toy and while it's fun and capable I can't keep it anymore. I never filed for a replacement title as I've moved out of the state (car is currently parked at a track buddy's house) and just kind of forgot about it. Well now the friend wants it gone so I need to make something happen.
It's the last MY 924S and ran when parked. Needs a muffler. Vehicle is located just outside of Philadelphia. What are my options? Thoughts/inputs?

I guess it really depends on how much value you place in it. Sounds like Craigslist gold to me.
Or it could be entertaining to trade it for something.
I'd love to do LeMons but I don't think it would pass the $500 cap - it's actually a really nice car.
I'd trade it for ten Benjamins.
shame it is not more beat up.. depending on the year.. it would make a perfect donor for transaxle and transaxle mounts for a project

Is it caged? You could list it on the lemons forums $500 for car $500 for cage, will not separate.
No cage but it has a bar. Not a bad idea though...

As long as you list it there for $500 for the car and $xxx for additional equipment it will fly (I know the admin, and I...um he....wont delete it)
Sweet, might have to give that a try!
Did you look into the PITA factor for getting a replacement title for it? Might be worth your while (or maybe not).
That's an option - just one I haven't been able to pursue yet. I posted on here hoping for ideas I hadn't thought of yet to see if there was an easier way. I will be looking at a replacement title this week.
How about getting a bill of sale from a state like Georgia that doesn't require titles? Then it's easy to title in PA.
I was having the same problem with my Fiero. Moved before I was finished getting it together for the Cali title. Now live in Mo., and Cali wants to look the car over before handing over the title. Oh well, in the garage it goes to be used only as a track toy. :\
What year is the car, not all states (like vermont) require a title if the car is over 15 years old. Just need a bill of sale.
You can store it in my yard in Vermont if you let me hill climb it.
I'd also say Lemons it, or Craiglist it. I'm just outside Philly also and browse Craigslist daily. I think it gets a lot of traffic, so you're bound to find someone who wants it.

sachilles, I got your email but have not had time to reply. It's a 1988 so well over 15 years.
I'll send you some pics of the car later tonight, I shouldn't be too busy (at work).
Can’t you just title it in NH with a bill of sale and having the VIN # verified by your local police?

Title required in GA for 1986 or later.

I might be able to, I'll look into that this week.
BTW, how's the grill?
