The green one in the classified (posted for two different prices) had a CEL. I'd want to know why before going too much further. They can be a hassle to get rid of.

I've got nothing constructive to add to this conversation, but that's never stopped me before! 
My dad used to have the non-M version of this, and I loved that one, I can only imagine how much better the M would be. I parked next to one at Target on Sunday, and kept thinking I'd like to buy one someday. If you can find a decent one, they have to be a near perfect commuter.
Also at Target, I saw a guy trying to load a flat screen TV into his 458. Wish I had taken pictures.

Everything is several thousand dollars if the dealer does it. I sent the PM to the poster but no response as of yet.
When I bought my RX-8, an e39 M5 was also on the table but I went with the devil I know.
There are days that I wish I had gone with the M5.
Well, I bought a 2000 M5 last night. I will go and pick it up and drive it home next Tuesday. It is he LeMans Blue so I am having th sign shop create a window banner that says I'm a Dousche

I was all ready to buy ESELLERS car when the one I bought accepted my offer a week later. If you are looking for one I would say it is a good deal on what seems to be a good car. Wish I could afford to have two..

Bad Title, so I would vote NO, because any repairs will never overcome the title issues if you ever sell it. You can by a decent M5 like a couple of above in the $10k range, it'll take at least that to bring the other one up to decent status and then there is the title thing......
