Bonus points if you manage to hide an excellent hand whammy sticker on the table and someone else makes the connection without you mentioning it. If the inlaws make the connection,  ill buy your wife the chocolate and cheap wine as the consolation prize.

I'm confident I could rip that main melody to "that one kenny g song" really berkeleying fast over a blast-beat. I've got an old Boss(?) drum machine in a box somewhere. Add one NY Hardcore breakdown with solo in the style of Gary Holt/Kerry King (bar squeals and pic slides and atonal madness.) Keep the whole song under a minute.

I'm imagining seeing that, huge, on the side of a panel van, blasting the jazz blasts around the neighborhood. Like an ice cream truck for lonely men, sitting on the porch, 7 beers deep on a summer afternoon. Then you hear the music coming from a block away and you keep looking up and down the street in anticipation of the awesome treat you're about to buy, "the whammy-man is coming!" and you know it'll be both the best and the worst part of the day. There's Tommy from next door, who never gets to buy from the whammy man, his mom yelling at him, "I'm not paying for that over priced garbage, I can get you ten of those for the same price at the store!" But she never does. You realize years later that the jazzy anticipation is what you miss most from those summer evenings. 
 

Also reminds me of the ice cream truck I see around town. Usually you'll see "watch for children," but this one just says "watch children." Man, business budget cuts are really getting out of hand (pun unintended, but awesome).
