Went to a local auction with loads of tools today, found and purchased an almost new 220 stick welder for $80, an ancient drill press for $20, a bench grinder 1hp for $27, a bench grinder with drill sharpener for $3, a router trim table for $30, a tool box for $1 and a few more items, things were going stupid high early but I stuck around until they came down and made some great scores.

Buying at auctions = fun time.

Selling at auctions = lost money.

Having grown up in PA, I have experienced the sheer joy of the heyday of the Farm Auction. Not only do you get stupid cheap tractors, implements, and antique furniture, you can step over to the Amish food stand and get ham and bean soup with cornbread, chicken corn soup, shoo-fly pie, and ham sandwiches.
