The longer I keep it around the more stuff I can find to fix all the problems with them.
Case in point: Wife's car pictured here:
It has cancer that can be fixed with two of these, LH and RH, but the same kit:

Poor Fox... it looks lonely
It is. I sold mine off years ago.
Sounds like you need to get another to keep it company.
Within the last month or two I've developed an incredible lust for a fox mustang.
Don't feel bad. Back home there are 2 trucks and a bike dead in my parent's yard.
One truck has been sitting for 15 years since the engine died. My dad knows that by now even the frame is probably beyond salvage(it is on a flood plane and gets axle deep every spring thaw).
Another got parked 4 years ago when a combination of factors took it out of use. $5/gal+15mpg does NOT mix well. Rust, Flintstone floor and randomly disintegrating hard brake lines. Heavy oil loss due to a hole in the oil pan. Had we not pulled it off the road in '08, it would have been CFC fodder for a Versa Hatch. I'm tempted to charge the battery and give it a shot starting fluid and then bomb it up an old trail up in the woods.
As far as the bike, it has been off the road for 18 years. It sat in the garage till we moved in '96. Then it sat in a storage locker for 3 years, and has now been out in the field since '99. It was parked with a dead charging system, by now getting it running would cost as much as a good used bike.
Good luck with whatever you do with it.
