Went out to the junkyard, and found a 2000 TL with mint grey leather seats. So I pulled the front seats and got them for $120, and did I mention they were mint? I pulled the wiring harness the plugs into the seat so that when I install them, they'll be fully functional. I spoke to an apholstery guy last night and he said he might be able to make the back seat from the TL work in the Accord. Hopefully that works out!
Picture time!
Here's the seats when I first got them:
After some Tuff Stuff, and purple power:
Passenger side in: (Sorry for the sideways shots)
Driver side in:
My custom shifter boot:
It was a pretty direct swap with a little modification. I had to oval out the front holes to fit. The inner mount on the TL bolts to the center hump, rather than the floor like the Accord. But the cool thing is that the inner mount is held on by 2 bolts, so all I have to do is unbolt the mount and make a new one to work with the stock mounting location.
Dude you're giving up your armrest!
I know, but I'm getting leather! Plus I'm going to try and find a high rise center console for it

you will hate leather because it is slippery and it cooks your nads.

Learned that today when I got in my car and left school lmao
I love leather seats, put a sun shade in the windshield and you are good to go.

The leather in my 4runner doesn't burn nearly as badly as the old vinyl I had in my 1972 Vega. That stuff was downright dangerous.

If it's anything like vinyl it will also form a seal with your back in hot weather.

the rsx didn't come with a center armrest, which was annoying at first, especially the first couple times you get in and expect there to be somewhere for your elbow, but made you keep your hands on the wheel, and made you sit upright in the seat. after a while i didn't even notice it not being there.
I love leather my daily driver with a good air conditioner. I want grippier stuff in a sports car.
It holds pretty well for a leather seat that's made to be luxurious.
