I want another VW Caddy.

A dozen or more years ago I built this for a couple grand

It was awesome. Swapped it from a diesel to a gas 1.8JH and then to a bored out 1.9 liter 16V on Megasquirt. It was rapid, could haul a surprising amount , got 38mpg and handled like a well built GTI. It was destroyed in an accident.

I want another one, really badly.

Sadly all the examples for sale within 200 miles of me are either overpriced, diesels or both. I guess this thread is my way of letting myself know I am actively shopping for one.  

That's all, just stating my intentions. Pardon me while I clean up all my cars to sell on to make room for one.

Anyone in the PNW interested in the Falcon, E28 or Xr4Ti?

If you want one bad enough .....

There are two in Denver, which should be pretty rust-free. Both diesels but we all know that all real pickups are diesels It's a rectifiable situation, of course.

They seem to be pretty abundant in the SF Bay Area. There was a guy I met at a C and C a few months ago who had one tricked out. Extremely lustworthy.

I thought the PNW was second only to Atlanta in the cool cars available for sale category? 

I'm afraid the best I can do from here is be a willing enabler.

They are out there but prices have increased.  Factory tailgates are silly expensive... With that said, we're 80% (paint in progress) ready to rock a vr6 swapped caddy.

those are worth their weight in gold so the kids can destroy them with silly stancing and rusty panals
