So I spent a food part of the weekend preparing the car for The Mitty Skidpad this coming weekend and I keep wondering what cars will be there?
I know GRM threw out a teaser with miata, TR6, and BMW mentioned. What is everyone bringing?
I'll show first:
I just spent two days teaching skidpad at Summit Point. We used a new format where we kept it open all day and the classroom instructor would announce to each group that they should visit. There was a lot of downtime between student groups. A lot of down time.
I am the Ken Block of Diesel Dually pickups, E46 M3s and one rusty old 3.0 911. As odd as it sounds it's more fun to drift a dually than almost anything else we saw in 12hrs of baking under a WV sun.

You're bringing a 1gb Talon with a 1gb front bumper grafted to your rear bumper?

Well, I'm glad there are different classes. Otherwise, I'd make you take 2 wheels off...and you'd probably still beat me.
I've done about 40 autox events, 5 track days, 10 LeMons races, but I have never set a wheel on a skidpad. I have no clue how to do it, this should be interesting.
In reply to Giant Purple Snorklewacker:
Errr... Not sure how to respond to that one. I guess the front and rear do look very similar... kinda like Kim Kardashian.

Congrats Mason! Grassroots Motorsports Skidpad Challenge
Very cool, Bob - way to hustle that 818. 1.55 G's is nothing to be ashamed about!
What tires did you have on it?
And I thought someone would show up with a super modified asphalt or some silly winged asphalt sprint car....
You'll need to log in to post.
