My 99 GMC hit the 250,000 mile mark this weekend.

Any other 1/4 pounders on the message board?

sold my Impreza last fall … it had 250k+ and still didn't use even a half a quart of oil between changes

but all I got now is in the 100k range

my '76 Honda 1200 had over half a million the last time I saw it (that was a long time ago …odds are it's rusted away by now)

and my '86 Honda was approaching a half a million when last hear of … and I do know that it's died a rusty death

I have had a couple high milers over the years.

'82 BMW 320is - 289,000 IIRC when sold.

'88 GMC Safari - 246,000 when I killed it by driving it under the back of a semi trailer going the opposite way.

Impressive to keep a vehicle long enough to out 250k on it! I turned over 70k in my 2012 so should be there in a couple more years...

My '03 TDI is closing in on 329K.

I finally bought a second car/van, so now I can take it off the road for awhile for some long overdue service.

Had a nice '79 280ZX with 314,000. Wife T-boned a truck with it, or it would probably still be on the road.

At the rate I drive, I'll have another 20 years in my subaru before I'll have a quarter pounder. My wife loves her car so I think 20 years with that will be easy for her.

My first Accord died when I put it in a tree at 225+.

Right now I'm at 155 with my wife's '03 Accord, and she does about 25K a year.

I've owned at least half a dozen 250k+ vehicles, although ive never put all the miles on. I tend to buy and sell cars so much that the most miles ive ever 100% personally put on any one vehicle is only 79k (and climbing). That's on my 346k mile 01 Insight.

The highest mileage car i've owned was a 358k mile Jeep Cherokee. I'll pass that up in another 6-8 months with the Insight.

Closest I had was a baby comparison, my '98 Z34 Monte Carlo had ~175k when I traded it in.

Used oil, leaked oil, drank coolant, but still started every time and drove fine. I got the car when it had 80k miles on it.

86 Crown Victoria 351K miles. Motor swap was done at 138K, original engine was transplanted in an 88 Town Car. That car carried it the remainder of it's life till it needed an engine rebuilt from blow by (engine had 325K miles).

Heck, when I bought Volvo 240s for fun and profit, I wouldn't even consider one unless the clock was OVER 250k!

Except for the ones with broken odometers, of course, which was most of them.)

My last Merc 300 D was sold with 325,000 miles and is still going strong

My current DD, 99 Golf is going to hit 250K this year,

And I sold my Ram with 356,000 miles and the last I knew, the current owner put another 100K on it.
(crap, can't find the 350K pic)

I've owned quite a few 250K mile vehicles, mostly Jeeps. Can't kill those I6s.

Ive had a couple in my time. My 76 Malibu I put over 250k on the engine I rebuilt in autoshop class when I was in 11th grade. My current S10 has over 250k on it. But the best one didnt belong to me. While working at a WalMart TLE, a Dodge dually with a turbo Cummins rolled up that had over 750k on the clock. Owner bought it new and it haden't done a rebuild on the engine. Said he had another with over a million. He hauled cars around the country for his business.

The RX-7 turned 232k on its way to its storage facility. It should hit 250k next year sometime around July.

VW #1 currently has, I think, 367k on it, although there was a period of 7400 miles where the speedo cable was broken so I used the GPS to keep track. Was well over 250k when I bought it. Original engine, trans, and clutch. This is the car that had the 314159 265.3 odometer pic. I still need to upload the 356911 914.6 pic.

VW #2 has, I think, 83k. VW #3 has 189k.

I like Mazdas, so why have I been hoarding VWs?
