With last year's Firebird having been parked for a year, awaiting a new steering column and the drive to work on it, I looked out into the waste land in front of my shop and choose a different car for this year's event.
I decided that I am going to bring my 24 Hours of Lemons Car to the challenge this year, and here is where the problem manifests.
What receipts do I need to provide, because I do not have a lot of paperwork from the build of the car. I'm not 100% sure what to include in my build books budget sheet, or do I even have to do one? Are you wanting a piece of construction paper with "Lemonz Race Kar" written in crayon? Isn't most of it budget exempt anyway, because it's all safety equipment?
Sorry for the stupidity all at once!

Remember the point of the challenge - readers want to know about your car!
At the very least put together a few paragraphs describing the car, why you chose it, what mods are done and why, maybe some of the previous races it has been in. If you were taking notes about your car during the concour, what would you write down to remember later? Do you have some picture from when you first got the car or of the build? Might be nice to have a few copies.
For the budget sheet, list out all the mods and the prices you remember paying. If it is safety stuff required by lemons, mark it as such but still put your costs.
I'm not giving an official answer, but that is what I would do. Now I gotta do my build book...
