Part of the fun of trips the local wrecking yard is checking out the cars. I found some strange stuff today, so I thought I'd share.

First I came across an early 90's Mazda 626,non-turbo base model. What caught my eye was that it appeared to have pieces of threaded rigid pipe sticking out of the hubs? Center lock wheels on an otherwise plain 626... " />

Next was a first for me. I've been working on DSM's for a long time, and thought I'd seen just about everything. This was the first time I saw a FWD conversion of an AWD car... The stock comlpete AWD rear subfame was sitting inside the car.

The car was stripped to almost nothing, before it made it's way to the PNP. When I first approached the car, it looked stock and in pretty good shape. I was in for a suprise when I lifted the hood...

Of course I have to add in a car that I've never seen of heard of before...

Who will be the first to correctly name this car? It was pretty much complete and very solid looking. What appears as rust in the pics is actually old paint or primer where the white paint has come off.

I know what that car is, I live like 10 minutes from there so I have seen it in person tho. Was the Alfa Milano still there? That was kinda unusual, it was in nicer shape than the one I used to have too.

Looks like Tokico Blues on that Mazda too. Some kinda LeMons project or something maybe?

It seems like those center lock adaptors would be good eBay/swap-meet fodder.

Those center locks are for Dayton's; with different spinners.

Nice finds. That is a F-series Vauxhall Victor - still a few kicking around Canada but very few roadworthy.
