sorry if repost...
49 mpg mixed, 100hp
, 0-60 in ~12 seconds
, 6 spd manual as regular equipment
Theres some room to be happy about that mix I think. Toss a tiny snail onto the 1.3 ltr 4 banger, a bit of wizardry with the VVL... I see potential here.

I wonder how much it weighs? 100hp and 0-60 in 12 seconds suggest it is pretty heavy for such a small car.
Yeah, a Prius blows the doors off that POS. Come on Toyota, when are you going to build real cars again?
I'll buy one as soon as it gets here. Been waiting since I sold the MINI.
I like small cars, though, so maybe I'm the weird one.

I think all the old people buying them have to die off first

^^Except it's FWD.
Looks like a cool little car. It'd be neat if Toyota made a sporty version. Something to challenge the 500 Abarth.
I drove a Yaris yesterday, and I really think the biggest limiting factor in driving feedback was the tires. It felt like they were made of plastic, and they produced audible feedback before I could even feel a lateral load start to build. Sure the shocks and springs were floaty, but even with the autotragic it got out of its own way ok, although I didn't hear those plastic tires chirp.

= probably ~80-100lbs of crap to remove once the warranty has expired
It already has an engine in the front, who can say DUAL POWERTRAIN? add some turbos and it should be a monster!
I read the motor trend a while back and apparently they are really expensive for a really small 3 seater.
