Woody bailed me out of a jam with a stick of JB putty at lime rock. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of the rest of your people yet!

Bill (Hungary Bill), Jonny Pruitt (GVX19), and Adam (Vigo) all need to be represented on the list.
Great guys who have helped me immeasurablly over the years.
I've never met any of you schmucks. But that's because I'm a recluse in the corner of the US.
Having said that, pretty much everyone here sounds like the type of person I'd like to have a beer with.

^Wally.
It gets confusing almost a decade later.

What I like about this site is great information from truly knowledgeable people.
People who make a living off what they know and are still willing to share what they know.
Also management keeps out the flamers. Nothing kills an enthusiast site like narcissistic flamers taking over.

Lolzers.
Anyone here asking to "talk me down" is really saying "I'm going to buy this turd. Make me feel better about buying it."
Duke is a heckofa great guy. I would buy pretty much anything from him. Straight shooter, honest, friendly, and drinks good coffee.
I've met so many of you that are awesome. The number of folks on here I can count on to swoop in and help is intense. Love you ALL Keith, TB, Hoopes, Stampie, Skater, Kurt, FuriousE, QuasiMofo, IanF, Patrick, Knudsen, Duke, some of the Suddards, wae, EastsideTim, NRNG, Lotusseven7, and I'm sure I'm missing a few dozen more.
Except Joe. berkeley Joe (and he's not even here to defend himself)

Agreed. This is also the only place I have shipped stuff off and not accepted payment. And vice versa.
Though I've never met personally any of you, I can always can on honest answers to questions and real life experiences from all walks of life. Doesn't get much better than that
mtn said:Not me. FBC bought a car from me, and it left him stranded halfway through a 450 mile trip. So don't buy a car from me.
At the very minimum do not buy a car from mtm if you live further than 249 miles away.

I came to the forum because I bought a car from Mazdeuce 5 years ago.... I got active on the forum a little over 3 years ago, and it's been one of the best decisions I ever made. I've made a lot of great friendships through this forum, Sleepyhead, Bobzilla, Daylan, Mazdaface, Clutchsmoke, Pete Gossett... the list goes on.. but those are just some of the folks I've gotten to meet in person. I've enjoyed the hell out of listening to Dean ramble on the discord server and the zoom chats.
You guys are my people, and I am thankful everyday this place exists..
I've been here since 08 but I agree.
Ive never met any of you. Closest I got was seeing the ratty miata race car on a local FB group, and when I would look at Cousin Eddies build threads I would recognize the background. This is one of the few forums that seems to be filled with good people and is probably the reason why its still around when most auto forums are ghost towns now and everyone moved to facebook.
If any one a little west of Fort Worth needs something, let me know, Ive had plenty of underserved good done for me in my life and Im happy to pass it on.
Just about everyone I've met here is good people. I remember Dusterbd13 putting it best when he said we may have different views about other things but we're both into cars and that's good enough.

I think those two statements really sum up how I feel about ALL the guys (and gals) on here!
even the few I’ve argued with a bit; I have no doubt they would help even folks they didn’t agree with on here, if the need arises.
Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) said:Ive met a lot of you in person.
Ive NEVER been steered wrong by this group. Ive been genuinely pleased to meet and make friends with many.
Im probably the least "good guy" here!
Dude, I’ve read your posts; your not one of the good guys - you fit in the great guy list, from trustworthy point of view!

I bought a car from Trent once and he would only take $100 for it.
Gotta agree that this is a safe place for people like us
Andy Neuman said:I'd say it like the classic ebay review "If we were in prison, I'd protect you guys in the shower."
I like that!

"...some of the Suddards"
I'm sure I'm reading that in a different way than you intend (or maybe not), but it struck me funny.
The only one I've met that is still around is Woody. He's an A+ gentleman.
The other two I have met are Curmudgeon and wbjones. Mike, I knew from my RC car racing days. He was a Lemons team mate and I count him as a brother. It's his fault I spend so much time on here. Mr. Jones was an outstanding guy I would hang out with at the track. Both of them were top-notch people and I'm sad they are no longer with us.
The rest of you I would lend tools. That's saying something.
