What! That's about the only time Flowmasters sound good, at idle! I loved the sound of my 289 with 40s when it was idling.

Also they sound like ass when driving down the road. Kind of a strangled gargle.

Oh, IMO the best exhaust is as quiet as possible, so you can hear the intake noises. If the exhaust is audible, it is already too loud.
This is why turbo cars usually sound awful, too. No intake noises.
