Okay, according to Ford Racing, the numbers above are off. They are probably for the SOHC engine. The DOHC 4.6 engine (5.0 should be close) is 28" lg, 29-7/8" high and 30" wide. This makes more sense to me than the dimension in my post above.

Also, if you look at the intake manifold of the engine in the picture, that's a pretty wide engine. Dr. Boost, do you know what engine that is? I can't tell for sure from the picture.

It's a Packard 352. No idea how wide that baby is.
