If so, send some photos my way. I'm always after photos of smashed, abandoned, unloved older classics for our Classic Motorsports magazine. (And unfortunately the ones uploaded here are too small: http://classicmotorsports.net/ran-when-parked/)
Wanna play? Good. Send some clear, high-resolution images to me at david@grassrootsmotorsports.com. Don't forget to include your name plus some details about the car--where it is, what you know about it, etc. I'll handle the rest.
Time to go get pics of this late 1st gen fastback mustang donw on PA 220. I cry every time I see the car.
How about a 323i thats stuck in my yard becuse its too rusty to move? I can take some better pics if you want.
And pics of behind my girlfriends place
old triumph GT6 abandoned in someone's back yard. I may or may not know the someone in question...
Any of those could be a contender. Just send the high-rez versions (plus your name and any other info about the car) to me.
In reply to ratghia:
i'm gonna be that some of those definitely did NOT run when parked.

I can't see the cars for the trees. Damn, that's good looking wood . . .
Maybe I should take pics of the '68 Cutlass my family has that has been sitting in our tiny excuse for a garage for the past 15 years. Provided, of course, the garage door doesn't fall apart...

Ooo... I have two good pictures in mind... one kinda silly (my decaying ES in my back yard)... and one almost perfect (an abandoned old car in the woods near where I mtn bike).
There are a bunch of them out here but this is the only one that I have right now. If you want I have the full scan file (was taken with 35mm) around somewhere. I'm actually thinking if the owners will let me haul that Dodge away for them...
RexSeven I would LOVE to see pics of the Cutlass my GF is really wanting an earlier Cutty to go with my '79 and '80.

I will look for the file this weekend.
Up in the mountains near where my parents live.
Crusty.
I should get some details on the BMW 2002 that's sitting in a yard like 10 minutes from me. I'm just afraid I'd end up bringing it home.....
There's an Alpine sitting in a driveway, just down the road. It's been there for at least 20 years. I'll try to take a pic this week.
I'd like to see more pics of that Dodge stock car.
on my road ride a couple weeks ago i saw a chrome-bumper MGB with wire wheels that was about 50% obscured by tall grass and weeds, and the other 50% covered with tree sap and bird poo. this is on a road that i've traveled several times per year since 1999, except for about the last 18 months. i'll get pix tomorrow.

I will work on that more this coming week with my digital instead of the old film cameras.
Two or three beetles and an old ford van are parked by a house 5 minutes away. I haven't seen them move in over 5 years.

Dave, you've got mail.
I just sent you one of my vacation photos. I'm probably going to go get a camera real quick.....I know of some other cars that are here in Polk County and worthy of a picture.

Damn, I spotted an old communist-era fire truck rusting in a field a few weeks ago, but I didn't have my camera on me. For the life of me I can't remember where it was.
If you're interested I'll go track it down. I haven't been out of town much in the last few weeks so there's only so many places it could be.
Almost forgot about this...
.... which, before I came to my senses, almost ended up in MY yard. I scare myself sometimes.
