I'm looking at replacing my blown-up KA with a L33 and either a T5 or T56 (if I can find one for a decent price) in the future. Can I get some tips on what to look out for (wiring, fitment, PS, cooling, dash wiring)? Thanks in advance.

Just bookmarked. I've got some reading to do. My wife and I are in the middle of closing on a house so it might be a little while before I get to it. You can be sure though, as soon as I do it, I'll post the pix.
I've wired a skyline in. By the afternoon I can hook you up with some wiring diagrams. The dash is easy.

Sounds great.
I'm on my droid now and at work. I'm pretty sure I have pics (which help immensely) and some RB20DET writeups which should help a little. Ill load them up after two central. Hopefully thats fast enough.

Trust me...that's plenty quick. My wife starts school in August so I'll have a lot of time to read after putting the kids to bed. Hopefully I can come with a stack of stuff to read up on.
Ok, before I get started on the dirty work I was thinking of the problems you are going to have besides wires themselves.
You will need to dissect a Silverado dash because the speedometer will likely not work. That is a common problem when swapping the Skylines in and the easiest option is to swap the speed sensor over. Unless you can modify the GM to match the dash.
The same goes for the tach. You may have to get creative for that. Better yet, you could rebuild the entire dash and that may be the easiest way to go. If that is the case, use what info you can.
You will probably want the fuel filter and/or pump from an 89 300zx. They SHOULD fit the stock system if you aren't already working on that one. I doubt you will have a problem with that if it can provide enough fuel for a six cylinder engine to produce 400 hp.
Here's some encouragement for you...
Now let me find some stuff that may help you a little more.

These wires are right by the ECU and easy to access when you do your stage one weight reduction.
If you run the new ECU to the same spot, just wire them all into the harness.
I ran all my Skyline wires into the KA plugs so I can pull it out of the chassis and put it in a better chassis... because mine is a piece.
If I think of anything else, I'll post it up.
